ABOUT THE TUTOR
I am
married to Brian and we have 4 children – Luke (20), Abby (17), Kori (14), and Ben (11).
We have home schooled our kids for 11 years. We are members of
Orchard Hill Reformed Church and live in an old farmhouse in Sparta.
I
graduated from Hope College with a major in Elementary Education and a
minor in Humanities – Art, Literature, and Music and have taken graduate
classes at Western
Michigan University.
I have worked at an art gallery and frame shop in Holland,
and I have taught art for the Grand Rapids
Art Museum, Grand Rapids Community
Education, and several elementary schools with the Grand Rapids Public
School system. I am currently employed at the
new Grand Rapids
Art Museum. I
taught art classes
for Koinonia for the past 4 years.
It is a
priority of mine to help children increase their awareness of the Master
Artist – God – and how each of us is a unique masterpiece in His eyes.
